Drawings
These are some of the drawings I've done. I can't take a picture of the rest right now. They are all . The first is on glassine, the next 2 or on acetate and the last 2 on newsprint (i'll make the last to a bit darker)
Project 4: Drawings/Watercolor
Sorry for this separate post, but here are the drawings I've made for "project 4". Hope these are acceptable!
They're all 18 x 24. Four are drawn on Newsprint and four are drawn on Acetate. I used charcoal on the newsprint and acrylic paint on the acetate, sometimes combining both.

Water Pump System with Filters
Alian could you please take some pictures of your process with the cubes and their actual state and add them here?
Sarah could you please take a picture of the tanks and post it here?
I will as well post some pictures of the materials I have; the kiddie pool and the palettes.
Sarah will buy the pump tomorrow and I would probably get the pvc pipes. On sunday im meeting with Sara to put together this project. There is no need to be negative about it. Also if we can all bring big empty containers on monday so we can fill them in with water from the bay and transport them to school.
Meeting with other Groups (PLEASE READ!!)
First I would like to say that these "plans" where made by 5 members from our group, 1 member of Group C and a little bit from 1 member of Group B over the phone.
The first image are basic ideas each group have:
Group A:
-Water filter with Plexiglas boxes (I told them we needed the wall in the back for this)
- Audio of noises from the street
- Drawings of buildings
- Projection of 'Trash lung'
- Signs around the room
- Plants (and Nick said he may bring some pieces of cement)
- Telephone audio project (Nick is working on the specifics)
- Dirtying walls with dirty water ( I told Nick to bring the stuff on Monday and as a group we decide if it should be done)
- 'Miami says' project (if Zero does it or not)
- Fabric on ceiling, I told the other group that this most likely won't happen because I was told there were issues contacting Joel.
Group B:
- Hanging plants/branches covered in cement.(Can be placed in other parts of the room)
- Water Projection on the floor.
- Audio of noises from the streets
- Piles of dust
- Piles of trash
Group C:
- Chain fence made of wires
- Lamp shade with industrialist lights to show the heat in Miami.
- Signs from the street and of cultural locations.
- Bring dirt inside of the class
- Glass or plastic bottles on the floor
- Projection of their walkabout (they don't really care about this one.)
The Second image are ideas or concepts we agreed on:
- Chain (wire) Fence
- Try to combine or use both the water and the 'Trash lung' projections
- Place trash piles in places in the room (like the desk to hide the computer) (all 3 groups agreed)
- The drawing can be hang from ceiling and some can be behind the fence (but these ideas can be played with)
- The audios will be made separately and will be tested on Monday to see if as a group we like one better or they may be combined.
- And if the water pump system/filter fails then we will place the Plexiglas cubes in the center or the classroom
- We can use different signs from all over to use around the room.
Most of these are materials and items we will make or bring so that we can play around with where they will be placed. If anyone has any issues or concerns place let me know so I can contact the other groups.
Rachel and/or Patty!! Please send the video of the trash lung to Valeria so she can see if it works with her projection of the water. Text me if you need or number or information.
P.S - The member from group B told us that I few members of her group are going on Saturday to start installing. I told her that they can measure and store items but to please not set up anything until Monday. She agreed.

Hey Guys, so what I have planned doing tomorrow is go to MDC and the surrounding area with a marker and some newsprint. I will go up to people at random around the downtown area and ask them to write what's the first thing that comes to mind when I tell them the following prompt-
"Miami is Drowning. Pollution Strikes our beaches, natural reserves, and aquifers deep underground. Sea levels are rising at a steady rate every year. Miami, unless Miami does something, will be drowning in it's own filth"

RAGARDING TITLE OF EVERY CUBE
As we know, every cube was collected in every one of the four zones, that is why there are four cubes. I propose to give an address to every cube depending on the area we found their content. Let's say that the title of every cube is the address we got the material.
Exemple: 2st Ne 4 Ave. Miami Fl33150.
